About BCPerformance

Blaine has spent over 17 years studying, coaching, and working in the field of performance and strength and conditioning.

He holds both a BSc and an MSc in sport-related disciplines and is an Accredited Member of the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA).

Blaine has worked with athletes across three continents and over 40 different sports, from archery and wheelchair racing to ice hockey, cricket, and snowboarding. This breadth of experience has shaped a coaching approach that is adaptable, practical, and grounded in real-world performance demands.

At BCPerformance, Blaine focuses on building strong foundations through structured training, sensible progression, and long-term thinking. The aim is to help people train with purpose, perform better, and stay resilient over time.

An online coaching concept scene showing a large, thin-bezel monitor on a tidy black desk, displaying detailed strength and conditioning charts, velocity tracking graphs, and a clean weekly training plan interface branded subtly with BCPerformance colors. Beside the monitor lies a compact digital scale, a heart rate monitor strap coiled neatly, and a tablet showing a video thumbnail of a barbell movement, paused mid-frame. The background is a soft gray wall with a faint gradient. Cool, balanced LED desk lighting casts a controlled glow across the workspace, creating gentle reflections on the screen and desk surface. Shot straight-on at eye level, with a centered, structured composition and sharp clarity. The mood is analytical, data-driven, and reassuringly professional, in a modern photographic style with neutral, corporate tones and clean visual hierarchy.
A meticulously organized strength training rack featuring matte black bumper plates with crisp white numbering, a brushed steel Olympic barbell with knurled grip, and a set of neatly aligned adjustable dumbbells on a low-profile metal stand. The equipment is arranged on a dark rubberized floor with subtle texture, against a smooth light gray concrete wall with minimal branding for BCPerformance. Soft, diffused daylight enters from an unseen side window, creating gentle, directional shadows that emphasize clean lines and solid forms. Photographed at eye level with a slightly wide angle, sharp focus throughout, and a balanced, symmetrical composition. The atmosphere is professional, disciplined, and modern, with a corporate, photographic realism aesthetic and neutral tones dominating the scene.

Performance Philosophy

A minimalist strength coach’s programming desk setup, featuring a sleek silver laptop displaying a structured training spreadsheet, a black notebook with a metal pen resting diagonally across it, and a digital stopwatch placed precisely beside a pair of wireless over-ear headphones. The surface is a light oak desk with clean grain patterns, set against a neutral taupe wall with a subtle BCPerformance logo watermark. Soft studio lighting from the left casts controlled shadows and a gentle highlight along the laptop’s edge, enhancing the clean corporate feel. Shot from a slightly elevated angle using the rule of thirds, with shallow depth of field softly blurring the distant background. The mood is focused, organized, and professional, embodying a modern, photographic realism style with calm, neutral tones and a structured layout.

Our coaches combine science and practical coaching to empower athletes and everyday movers to lift, run faster, and recover smarter.

A carefully arranged training zone featuring a single flat weight bench with a smooth black upholstery surface and understated chrome legs, positioned perfectly parallel to a set of evenly spaced floor markers on a dark rubber floor. Nearby, a pair of mid-weight dumbbells rests with their hexagonal edges aligned. The backdrop is a clean, off-white wall with subtle vertical panel lines, evoking a structured, corporate training environment. Cool, diffused overhead lighting creates soft, even illumination with barely-there shadows that emphasize precision and order. Captured from a low, side-on perspective, the bench leading into the frame, with sharp focus and a balanced composition. The overall mood is calm, purposeful, and disciplined, rendered in photographic realism with neutral grays, blacks, and whites conveying BCPerformance’s professional identity.
